Nepal Baseball and Softball Association is an organization to promote Baseball and Softball in Nepal. NBSA was registered under the National Sports Council in 2009 which is the governing body of sports in Nepal. NBSA is reconized by the Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC). NBSA is actively doing its activities to develop games all over the country.
However, Baseball and Softball in Nepal was played from the early 1960s in St. Xaviers School, Jawalakhel, Kathmandu. Different Schools of Kathmandu (Budhanilkantha, Dipendra Prahari, Lincoln) used to play Baseball and Softball occasionally. The game was also played by members from Diplomat offices in the USA, Japan and Korea for entertainment. Circle Laligurans from Osaka Japan and Pokhara Baseball Club then started playing Baseball in Pokhara from 1999. Seeing the prospects of the game and its immense future, NBSA; started to serve as the official body for the development of Baseball and Softball in Nepal from 2009.
NBSA is an active blanket body to promote Baseball and Softball in Nepal. It has been conducting numbers of tournaments, clinic programs and training.
