A baseball is a bat and ball game played between two nine-player teams who take turns batting and fielding. The fundamentals of the game involve throwing the ball, hitting the ball, and catching the ball. The goal is to score more runs than your opponent. Each time a player circles the four bases on the field, they score a run.
Softball was created by George Hancock in Chicago in 1887. The game originated as an indoor variation of baseball and was eventually converted to an outdoor game. The popularity of softball has grown considerably, both at the recreational and competitive levels.
